Terms of use
Svarslinjen is a phone line where you talk to an AI assistant. Questions: hej@svarslinjen.se.
By calling, you accept these terms. Our privacy policy explains what we do with your data.
1. You're talking to an AI
- The assistant is a computer program, not a person.
- It can be wrong, mishear you or misunderstand. Check anything important, such as prices, opening hours or what a letter means, before you rely on it.
- It gives general information, not medical, legal or financial advice.
- It isn't an emergency or crisis line. If someone's life is in danger, hang up and ring 112.
2. Who can use it
- You must be 18 or over.
- Call from your own phone, with your number shown. The first time, we ring you straight back to check the number is yours.
- Once we've rung you back, we text you a phrase of three words. With it, you can use your minutes when you call from another phone. If you lose it, ask for a new one on a call.
- Keep your phrase to yourself. Anyone who knows it and your number can use your minutes.
3. Minutes and prices
- You buy minutes in bundles. The price is on our website and the assistant says it before you pay. Nothing is charged until you say yes and approve the payment.
- Your minutes stay on your account, to use whenever you call. They're not lost when you hang up.
- Time is counted from when the assistant answers until the call ends.
- Unused minutes are kept for 12 months after you last used your account.
- There's no subscription and nothing renews by itself.
- You can spend at most 500 kronor in any 30 days.
- New numbers may get a few free minutes, once. We can change or stop this.
- If you haven't bought minutes before, you can buy 10 minutes for 1 kr by Swish, once per account and phone number. We can change or stop this offer.
- The call itself costs what your phone company charges for calling an ordinary Swedish number, usually nothing extra on a mobile plan.
4. Paying
By Swish, or by card through Stripe. You get a receipt by text.
5. Changing your mind
You have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. When you buy minutes, you ask us to start the service straight away, so minutes you've already used can't be returned. Unused minutes from a bundle bought in the last 14 days are refunded if you ask.
6. Faults and refunds
If a call drops or the line doesn't work properly, tell us and we'll put the minutes back. Mistakes in what the assistant says aren't faults in this sense, but tell us anyway.
7. Safety
- Calls are written down, analysed by AI, and can be flagged for review by a person.
- If a call goes somewhere it shouldn't, the assistant will warn you, and can end the call.
- In rare cases we share a call with the authorities, as the privacy policy describes.
8. Not allowed
- Anything illegal, or helping someone else do it.
- Threats, harassment or abuse, of the assistant or anyone else.
- Trying to make the assistant produce harmful content.
- Using someone else's number or phrase without their permission.
- Using the ring-back to call people who didn't ask for it.
- Automated or recorded calls to the line.
If you break these rules, we can end your calls and suspend your account. A person makes that decision. We refund unused minutes, unless the misuse has cost us more.
9. Memory, texts and answers afterwards
- The assistant only remembers earlier calls if you ask it to, and forgets when you ask. It only uses what it remembers once it knows it's you: on a call where we rang you, or once you've said your phrase.
- You can ask to always be asked for your phrase before your minutes are used.
- Texts to the line are kept as notes for your next call, and you get one short reply to say so.
- Answers afterwards: on a call, you can ask the assistant to text you the answer, or ring you back with it, so you can hang up. You can also text a question to the line: you get the price and a code back, and the answer comes when you reply with the code (or RING and the code). An answer costs 2 minutes, a bigger question 5 minutes, and you're always told the price first. The minutes are taken when the answer is sent or read out, and none if we can't find an answer. If you carry on talking when we ring, your minutes run as usual.
- Latest answers: general questions and answers, such as a price or opening hours, may be shown on svarslinjen.se, rewritten so nothing points to who asked. Never from a flagged call, or a call where you've said "forget this call". If you ask the assistant to forget everything, yours are taken down.
- Text KODORD (or PHRASE) to the line for a new phrase, or STOPP if you don't want texts from us that you haven't asked for (START turns them back on).
- If the assistant found an answer you asked for but you didn't hear it, for example because the call ended first, we may text it to you afterwards.
10. Our responsibility
We do our best to keep the line working and the assistant helpful, but we can't promise the line is always available, or that answers are always right. As far as the law allows, we're not responsible for decisions you make based on what the assistant says, or for indirect losses. This doesn't limit your rights as a consumer under Swedish law.
11. Changes
We may change these terms or the service. If a change affects minutes you've already paid for, we'll tell you by text in advance, and if you don't accept it we'll refund your unused minutes.
12. Complaints and disputes
Contact us first: hej@svarslinjen.se. If we can't agree, you can turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN), arn.se. Swedish law applies.
13. Who runs Svarslinjen
Svarslinjen is a trading name of Andrew Lyeklint Hancock, a sole trader (enskild firma, registered for F-skatt) in Skånes Fagerhult, Sweden. When you buy minutes, your agreement is with Andrew Lyeklint Hancock. Contact: hej@svarslinjen.se.
